Smiths & Founders (India) Limited manufactures and sells forgings and machined components in India. The company's forgings include automobile components, including rocker arms, connecting rods, tie rod ends yokes, spiders, clutch hubs, clutch release levers, clevis, clutch plates, pressure plates, etc.; and general engineering products, such as gear blanks, wheel dressers, insulator pins, insulator hooks, tool holders, shackles, rotating eyes, chain links, and other products. Its forgings also comprise hydraulic forgings, including valve bodies, rod eye ends, elbows, ports, etc.; mining tools, including coal augurs, rotary drill bits, mining picks, bit holders, pick holders, etc.; and agricultural implements consisting of rotary tines, rotovator shovels, cultivator blades, etc. In addition, the company's serves automobile, agriculture, mining, material handling, power transmission, hydraulic and general engineering industries. The company was formerly known as Shimoga Technologies Limited and changed its name to Smiths & Founders (India) Limited in March 2014. The company was founded in 1982 and is based in Bengaluru, India.
